Description
Français : Le chinois mandarin, ou tout simplement mandarin ou encore les langues mandariniques selon Glottolog, est un ensemble de variétés chinoises étroitement apparentées. Cet ensemble comprend parfois le chinois jin, notez que ce n'est pas le cas sur cette carte. À l'origine parlé au centre et au Nord de la Chine, il s'est étendu sous les Ming, et menace désormais les dialectes mongols de Mongolie intérieure, le ouïghour du Turkestan oriental, diverses langues du Yunnan, et les langues coréaniques de Mandchourie. La variété pékinoise est la base du mandarin standard, ou chinois standard, et est une des six langues officielles de l'ONU. Notons que le mandarin est majoritaire à Singapour, mais cette carte ne le montre pas. Les hachures indiquent que le mandarin cohabite avec d'autres langues. Les zones en blanc indiquent que le mandarin est minoritaire, ou pas du tout parlé.
